Our Facilities: a full service eye care clinic in Seattle
Sound Eye and Laser is a full service ophthalmology clinic conveniently located on First Hill in downtown Seattle, adjacent to Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Phillips also sees patients in his Burien satellite clinic once a week. Both offices feature a full service optical shop where we can address your eyewear needs. In addition, Dr. Phillips has established his own Medicare-certified Ambulatory Surgery Center in his Seattle clinic where he performs cataract surgery, refractive surgery and minor surgical procedures. Patients benefit from this lower stress, convenient model.
What is an ASC?
An Ambulatory Surgery Center is a facility other than a hospital where outpatient surgery is performed.
The rising cost of healthcare is something we should all take seriously. At Sound Eye and Laser we felt one way we could address this issue is to build our own ASC. ASCs significantly lower healthcare costs and positively contribute to patient safety and satisfaction. The goal: provide a comfortable environment, free from the anxiety and stress of a hospital setting while reducing the out-of-pocket expenses of our patients.
The Highest Quality Surgical Facilities
The Sound Eye and Laser ASC is equipped with one operating room, a laser suite, a sub-sterile room, a pre-operative and recovery suite, and a comfortable lounge area for patients and family members. In addition to cataract surgery and LASIK eye surgery, the ASC is used for eyelid surgery, glaucoma surgery, astigmatic keratotomy and other eye and eyelid procedures. Our laser suite includes the most advanced Nidek laser, the Nidek EC 5000. Learn more about our laser here.
Medicare Certified
The Sound Eye and Laser ASC is classified as “Medicare Certified,” ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care.
